IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is a recombinant analog of insulin-like growth factor 1. A&A Wellness supplies it as a lyophilized powder in a 1mg vial.
A small-format vial. IGF-1 LR3 is typically handled in microgram-to-milligram quantities in laboratory work, so it is offered in a single 1mg size.
Clear labeling. Each vial is labeled with the compound name and strength.
Where it fits. IGF-1 LR3 is grouped with our growth hormone axis compounds, alongside Tesamorelin and CJC-1295 without DAC + Ipamorelin, though it acts downstream at the IGF-1 receptor rather than on growth hormone release.
IGF-1 LR3 is sold for in-vitro and laboratory research only. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic or dietary supplement, and it is not for human or veterinary use.
Classification. IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analog of human IGF-1. Compared with native IGF-1 (70 amino acids), it carries an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension. The literature describes these changes as substantially reducing binding to IGF-binding proteins.
How it has been studied. Because of its reduced binding-protein affinity, IGF-1 LR3 has a long history as a cell-culture reagent. It has been used in in-vitro systems to study IGF-1 receptor signaling, cell proliferation in culture and media formulation, as well as in published preclinical research.
Regulatory status. IGF-1 LR3 is not approved by the FDA as a drug. The A&A Wellness product is a research material intended for laboratory use only.
Why structure matters here. In cell-culture systems, IGF-binding proteins can sequester native IGF-1 and reduce its availability to cells. Researchers have used Long R3 IGF-1 to study IGF-1 receptor signaling with less interference from those binding proteins, which is why it appears frequently in culture-media literature.

Protect the powder. Store the sealed vial cold, dry and out of direct light. Long-term storage of lyophilized proteins and peptides is conventionally frozen.
Small volumes need care. Low-mass peptides are especially sensitive to repeated freeze-thaw cycles, so laboratories often divide material into aliquots once it is in solution.

FAQ
LR3 refers to the Long R3 structure: a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension (Long) and an arginine (R) substitution at position 3 of the IGF-1 sequence.
IGF-1 LR3 is longer than native IGF-1 and is described in the literature as binding far less strongly to IGF-binding proteins. This is the main reason it is used as a cell-culture reagent.
IGF-1 LR3 is typically handled in small quantities in laboratory settings, so a single 1mg vial keeps the product simple.
No. It is sold strictly for laboratory research and is not for human or veterinary use.
